The slopes, walked
Every plane we can safely reach, on foot. Seal strips, lifted or cracked tabs, granule cover, nail pops, hail bruising and any sign that a second layer was laid over a first.
An hour on the roof tells you more than a drive-by ever will ยท (856) 830-6889
No charge, roughly sixty minutes, and it ends with a typed list and a set of pictures instead of somebody's opinion delivered at the kerb.

On this site the inspection is the service rather than the way in. It is free, it takes about an hour, and a good share of them finish with somebody being told to call back in three years. That is a perfectly acceptable outcome and it is why the findings get written down.
Every plane we can safely reach, on foot. Seal strips, lifted or cracked tabs, granule cover, nail pops, hail bruising and any sign that a second layer was laid over a first.
Pipe boots, the chimney and its step and counter flashing, skylight kerbs, vents and the valleys. Water almost never comes through the middle of a slope; it comes through one of these.
Drip edge, starter course, fascia, and whether water is actually leaving the roof where it was meant to rather than running behind the gutter.
Daylight through the deck, dark tracking on sheathing, damp or flattened insulation, a bath fan venting into the space, and whether intake and exhaust are anywhere near balanced.
A spoken verdict is impossible to check. A list with a photograph beside each line can be read by you, by a second roofer and by an adjuster, and it still means the same thing in six months. That is the whole reason the hour ends at a desk rather than at a handshake. It is also the practical half of being BBB certified โ an accreditation about conduct is worth very little unless the conduct leaves a paper trail.
Bruising and wind damage found by hand on the slope, documented properly, and repaired before the next season opens it up.
Read the page →Boots, flashing, ridge cap and wind-lifted tabs dealt with individually, so a sound covering is not stripped off over four bad square feet.
Read the page →Chasing a drip uphill from the mark on your plaster to the opening that let it in, usually some distance away.
Read the page →A full tear-off to the deck, every board walked, and the covering rebuilt in order from ice-and-water up to the ridge.
Read the page →The wall under the roofline checked, patched or re-clad by the same people who are already working above it.
Read the page →Rainwater taken clear of the fascia and the foundation, which is half of what stops a wall quietly rotting behind the gutter.
Read the page →Free, written up afterwards, and with no obligation attached to any of it.
